Job Summary

This role is for a Materials Tester specializing in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), specifically focusing on X-ray examinations, at Rheinmetall's Unterlüß site. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, conducting, and evaluating X-ray inspections, including handling explosive or hazardous components. Key responsibilities also include planning and setting up testing configurations, managing the logistical aspects of radiographic testing, analyzing data and images, performing preventive maintenance on X-ray systems, and creating detailed test reports. The position requires strong technical and mechanical analytical skills, proficiency with X-ray control software, and knowledge of digital image processing. Required Skills

Education

Completed training and valid certificates in Non-Destructive Testing (X-ray testing) RT-F and RT-D Level 2 according to EN ISO 9712; Alternatively, a completed apprenticeship as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar.

Experience

  • Experience operating X-ray system control software
  • Knowledge in the application of test and measurement methods
  • Knowledge of standards for non-destructive radiographic testing
  • Knowledge in radiation protection
