This role involves ensuring electrical devices and components meet national and international standards. The Certification Engineer will manage re-certification processes for existing products and initial certification for new series, ensuring compliance with relevant norms, regulations, and specifications. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, documenting, and overseeing certification projects, providing expert advice on design and testing requirements, and defining test procedures for internal validation. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, with experience in the development and testing of electrical switchgear. They should be proficient in navigating international standards and directives, and possess strong communication skills for collaboration with development, engineering, and product management teams. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree or training in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or further education as a Technician/Industrial Master (m/w/d) in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Power Electronics and Electrical Drive Technology, Electronics and Microelectronics, or equivalent.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development and testing of electrical switchgear
  • Experience in evaluating design and testing requirements for electrical/mechatronic products
  • Professional experience in the certification of devices
  • Experience with national and international norms and directives
  • Experience in collaboration with national and international certification bodies
