Job Summary

The Medical Controlling Specialist will be integral to a modern acute care hospital in Berlin, focusing on building a new coding team. This role involves precise case-related coding in close collaboration with clinical departments, analyzing patient documentation, and applying valid coding guidelines (ICD-10-GM, OPS, DKR, DRG). The specialist will independently determine primary diagnoses, calculate DRGs, and review length of stay. Key responsibilities also include ensuring documentation quality, conducting plausibility checks, and supporting MD inquiries and complaint processing. The ideal candidate will contribute to optimizing internal coding processes, bringing strong medical knowledge, IT proficiency, and a proactive, communicative approach to help shape new structures within a supportive and appreciative work environment.
