Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the conceptualization and advancement of electronic identification (eID) systems, particularly for mobile devices, and evaluating new eID technologies like EU-DI-Wallets. The successful candidate will develop testing specifications, prototypes, and tools to ensure the practicality and interoperability of eID products, conducting conformity tests and assessing deviations. A key aspect is representing German interests in international standardization and governmental bodies. The position requires programming tools for analyzing products and data objects within identity management systems. This is an opportunity to shape a secure digital future for Germany within the federal cybersecurity authority, focusing on secure identification in electronic business processes.

Required Skills

Education

Completed or near-completion university degree (Diplom [FH]/Bachelor) in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Physics, Mathematics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable relevant field with an IT/technical focus. Alternatively, another university degree (Diplom [FH]/Bachelor) with further training or demonstrable knowledge in IT security, communication procedures, identity management protocols, cryptographic security mechanisms for mobile devices, or the creation of test specifications and execution of conformity tests.
