Job Summary

The Lower Saxony State Office for Monument Preservation is seeking a dedicated Data Management and IT Coordination Specialist to join their IT Coordination, Information Systems, and Data Monitoring unit. This role involves managing daily IT operations, serving as a primary contact for hardware and software inquiries, and communicating with the state IT service provider. A key responsibility will be analyzing data sources and developing comprehensive solutions for data provision to support the office's digital transformation. Additionally, the specialist will assess IT security alerts and update risk descriptions for custom software. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the protection and research of cultural monuments within a supportive team environment, providing a modern IT workplace and flexible working hours.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) or IT Systems Electronics Technician (IT-Systemelektroniker), or a relevant professional or B.A. degree.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT systems, data management, or related fields
  • Experience in managing organizational and administrative IT matters
  • Experience in communicating with IT service providers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience with client-security solutions

Additional

  • Simple security clearance required (gem. § 7 NdsSUeG). Position is full-time, permanent, and located in Hannover, Germany. Part-time work is possible with a minimum of 32 hours per week.
