Job Summary

As a Warranty Engineer, you will be responsible for managing warranty cases for HVDC transmission systems, both onshore and offshore. Your day will involve meticulously reviewing customer requirements, coordinating with project teams and specialized departments, and developing solution concepts while estimating repair and modification costs. A key part of your role will be negotiating with international consortium partners and suppliers, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You will lead a project team of 6-10 employees, managing internal and external service providers, and overseeing supplier orders. This role demands strong project management skills to ensure quality and on-time delivery within budget, proactive risk management, and continuous communication with customers to clarify defect reports and claims. You will also organize inspections with clients, document results, and plan next steps for successful project implementation.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics Management, OR successfully completed specialized technical training and further education as a technician including specific advanced training with corresponding professional experience.

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in a relevant area
  • Current practical experience in project management, including application of relevant methods and tools for budget, timeline, and quality assurance
  • Continuous control of project status regarding goal achievement, risks, and changes, with corrective measures
  • Technical expertise in domain-specific products and systems, including market knowledge and application to customer needs
  • Extensive experience in quality management, including application of quality methods and tools for continuous improvement
