Job Summary
This role involves conducting comprehensive hardware and software tests for High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, both at a German test center and globally distributed HVDC plants, including on-site customer acceptance. The engineer will be responsible for configuring, testing, and commissioning field control devices for HVDC systems, as well as identifying and resolving faults in collaboration with the software engineering team. Key responsibilities also include supporting the commissioning management in quality, risk, and claim management, and implementing improvement measures. Regular communication with stakeholders, project teams, and external contacts is essential to discuss project progress. This position requires deep technical expertise in power plant technology and a willingness to travel for long-term assignments.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Long-term professional experience in power plant technology
- Experience in commissioning switchgear and field control devices
- Experience in high-voltage technology
Languages
Additional
- Certified as an Electrician (EFK); Willingness to undertake long-term assignments at construction sites domestically and internationally, including offshore platforms.
