Job Summary
This role involves managing all tax-related matters for the municipality, focusing on VAT, corporate tax, and income tax. The successful candidate will identify and assess tax-relevant transactions, prepare necessary tax declarations, and advise various departments on tax law. A key responsibility will be to establish and further develop a Tax Compliance Management System. Additionally, the position includes recording and booking the municipality's fixed assets, assisting with annual financial statements, and maintaining the contract register. Required Skills
Education
Certified Tax Specialist (Steuerfachwirt) or Tax Assistant (Steuerfachangestellter), or successfully completed training as an Administrative Professional (Verwaltungsfachangestellter) or Angestelltenlehrgang I, or comparable qualification in the municipal sector, or Financial or Balance Accountant (kommunal or IHK), or successfully completed commercial training with a focus on tax and/or financial management.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience as a Tax Specialist or Tax Assistant
- Professional experience in fixed asset or business accounting (for administrative professionals)
- Professional experience in tax and/or financial management (for commercial professionals)
