Job Summary

This role seeks a UI Specialist and Frontend Developer to join the Cybercrime department, focusing on aggregating, analyzing, and managing operational data to combat cybercrime nationally and internationally. You will be instrumental in developing future tools for German police cybercrime units, working within a diverse team of police officers, web developers, full-stack and backend developers, and big data experts. The ideal candidate is passionate about modern, ergonomic UIs, Angular JS, and agile development processes, and is comfortable with international development projects. Key responsibilities include planning and executing complex UI/UX software development projects, gathering requirements, system design, implementing UI components, and ensuring software quality. This position offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to law enforcement's digital capabilities.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diplom [FH] or Bachelor) in Computer Science or a comparable IT-related field, OR comparable skills and experience with vocational training in IT, OR comparable skills and experience with vocational training/degree in a non-IT field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in UI/UX software development projects
  • Professional experience with web-based applications using JavaScript-based frameworks
  • Professional experience in an IT-oriented role (minimum 3 years post-vocational training, or minimum 6 years post-non-IT vocational training/degree)

  • Willingness to travel abroad for international development projects (1-2 times per year, 3-5 days each). Willingness to be on-call occasionally (2-3 times per year, 5 days each). Eligibility for civil servant status (Verbeamtung) is possible with a relevant university degree, but not with vocational training or a non-IT degree.
