Job Summary
This role offers a dedicated professional the opportunity to significantly contribute to environmental protection and water management in the Freiburg region. The specialist will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and updates of the EU Water Framework Directive's management plan and measures program, particularly for the High Rhine catchment area. Key responsibilities include coordinating and prioritizing revitalization projects for second-order water bodies, providing expert support to water authorities, and acting as a primary contact for technical committees and public relations. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of aquatic ecology and water management, project coordination experience, and strong conceptual and communication skills. Required Skills
Education
Master's or Diploma (University) in Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology, Ecology, Biology, or a comparable field with a focus on Aquatic Ecology
Experience
- Professional experience in aquatic ecology and water management issues (preferred)
- Experience in coordinating and managing projects
- Professional experience in administration (advantageous)
- Professional experience in nature conservation (advantageous)
