Job Summary
This role is for a Chemical Specialist who will be instrumental in managing hazardous waste and special waste handling operations. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with dangerous goods regulations, managing order processing, and conducting on-site sample collection and analysis oversight. The specialist will also be responsible for creating waste profiles, coordinating special waste transports, and performing cost calculations and invoice checks. A crucial aspect of the role involves providing technical leadership for hazardous waste collections according to TRGS 519/520 standards and acting as the primary contact for all special waste-related inquiries. This position is ideal for someone with a strong chemical background, organizational skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
Required Skills
Education
Completed chemical vocational training or training as an environmental technologist. Ideally, further training as a state-certified technician with an environmental focus. Further training as a specialist according to TRGS 519 and 520.
Experience
- Professional experience in hazardous/special waste handling
- Experience in implementing dangerous goods regulations
- Experience in order processing and customer interaction
- Experience in managing waste transports and profiles
- Experience in cost calculation and invoice control
- Experience in technical leadership for hazardous waste collections
