The City of Remscheid is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Waste Management and Street Cleaning to lead a diverse team of approximately 100 employees. This full-time role involves comprehensive responsibility for the planning, coordination, and strategic development of waste management, street cleaning, and winter services. The successful candidate will optimize collection routes, analyze waste streams for economic and logistical impacts, and drive the digitalization of services. Required Skills
Education
Completed technical or economic science degree, preferably in waste management, logistics, or business operations.
Experience
- Several years of professional and leadership experience (at least 10 employees), ideally in commercial, industrial, or logistics sectors
- Experience in leading and developing employees in an operational environment
- Experience with challenging personnel topics (e.g., BEM - Company Integration Management)
