Job Summary
As an Epitaxy Equipment Engineer at AIXTRON, a leading provider of deposition systems for the semiconductor industry, you will be a key expert focused on electrical engineering or mechanics, ensuring the operational readiness of epitaxy systems within the application laboratory. Your daily tasks will involve supporting the installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment for new developments, performing essential repair and maintenance on complex technical systems, and planning routine tasks and prototype installations. You will also be responsible for managing material and spare part availability and collaborating with development and production teams. This role offers the unique opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement and development of existing and new equipment types, pushing the boundaries of technological possibilities in high-tech applications from LED and display technology to energy management and communication. The ideal candidate will bring a background in mechatronics or industrial mechanics, experience with semiconductor or epitaxy equipment, and familiarity with special gases and chemicals.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or comparable technical education.
Experience
- Professional experience in maintenance and service of semiconductor or epitaxy equipment
- Familiarity with special gases and chemicals used in semiconductor processes
Languages
Additional
- Ideally certified for heavy breathing apparatus (G 26.3) for cleanroom activities.
