Job Summary

Join Eurowind Energy, a leading developer of wind and solar energy projects across Europe, as a Biologist specializing in Nature and Species Protection. In this role, you will be crucial in evaluating and assessing wind and solar projects from an ecological and legal perspective, proposing suitable compensatory measures, and conducting on-site inspections to assess local environmental conditions. You will provide expert guidance to project managers, coordinate with authorities, and oversee external environmental consultants. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the energy transition and climate protection within a dynamic, growing market, working with a highly motivated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in biology or a related field, excellent species knowledge, particularly in ornithology, and experience with faunistic surveys. This is a temporary position until February 2027, covering parental leave, available full-time or part-time (min. 30 hours/week) in Hamburg.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biology, Landscape Ecology, or a comparable field; alternatively, comparable completed vocational training and/or several years of professional experience in the environmental sector.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the environmental sector
  • Experience in surveying and mapping faunistic groups, especially breeding and resting birds in areas designated for wind energy use
