Job Summary
This role involves developing and implementing robust IT and Operational Technology (OT) security strategies within a critical infrastructure (KRITIS) environment, specifically for a waste management company operating a waste-to-energy plant. The successful candidate will be instrumental in creating and refining security concepts, architectures, and policies, ensuring compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and BSI, and contributing to KRITIS audits. Day-to-day tasks include conducting threat and risk analyses, managing incident response, administering network components, and providing 2nd/3rd-level support. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in IT/OT security, network infrastructure, and industrial control systems, who is eager to contribute to climate protection and supply security in a stable, team-oriented environment.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Information Security, ideally with a focus on Cyber and Information Security; OR University of Applied Sciences/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or an IT-related field; OR Operative Professional qualification with extensive relevant professional experience in IT; OR Bachelor Professional / Certified Technician (Computer Scientist) or IT Specialist in System Integration with extensive professional experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in IT/OT security, ideally in industrial or production environments, preferably in a power plant setting
- At least three years of practical experience in building and operating network infrastructures
- Comprehensive expertise in network protocols, network monitoring, system technology, network communication, and security infrastructure (e.g., access control, firewalls)
- Solid experience in IT security, cybersecurity, and network security, especially in the OT sector (e.g., industrial networks, protocols like Modbus, Profibus)
- Experience with common OT protocols and technologies (e.g., SCADA, PLS)
- Experience in device management (iPhones/iPads), software distribution, and WLAN administration
- Experience with data center operations (e.g., incident management, change management)
