Job Summary
The Bavarian State Office for the Environment is seeking a Chemical Engineer to join their team in Augsburg. This role focuses on the analysis of per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) in environmental media, specifically through the use of passive samplers. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and validating extraction procedures for PFAS from passive samplers, optimizing LC-MS/MS methods, and meticulously measuring, evaluating, and documenting data. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical environmental protection efforts by researching and implementing advanced analytical techniques to identify and assess PFAS contamination in surface waters, playing a vital role in environmental monitoring and public safety.
Required Skills
Education
University degree (Dipl. FH / Bachelor) in Chemistry, Environmental Technology, or a comparable field
Experience
- • Practical experience with coupling separation techniques (e.g., LC, GC) with mass spectrometry desired
