Job Summary

As a Development Engineer in Turbine Aerodynamics, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing turbine blades for maximum performance and efficiency. Your daily tasks will involve utilizing various 1D, 2D, and 3D flow solvers, making critical design decisions, and applying advanced 3D-CFD design tools for aerodynamic and multidisciplinary optimizations. You will collaborate closely with global teams across thermal design, mechanics, and manufacturing to achieve balanced designs considering performance, lifespan, and cost. This role offers the opportunity to lead internal and external R&D programs and tackle complex technical challenges, contributing to low-emission power generation and the energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Several years of experience in aerodynamic analysis and design of turbines
  • In-depth background knowledge in thermodynamics or fluid mechanics
  • Experience in aerodynamic analysis and design of turbomachinery components
  • Solid knowledge in flow calculation, including numerical simulation and optimization methods
  • Programming experience for workflow automation and data processing
