Job Summary

This role involves critical forensic science and quality assurance tasks within the Central Criminal Service. The successful candidate will independently conduct crime scene investigations, secure evidence, and prepare detailed reports, sketches, and photographic documentation. Key responsibilities include utilizing technical and chemical methods for evidence collection, managing hazardous materials, and performing forensic identification procedures. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in a technical, chemical, or laboratory-technical profession (e.g., chemical-technical assistant, chemical laboratory technician, PTA, MTA, photographer) OR a completed forensics degree or comparable course of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in crime scene investigation and evidence securing
  • Experience with technical and chemical evidence collection methods
  • Experience in creating crime scene sketches and photographic reports
  • Experience with hazardous materials and laboratory safety protocols

  • Valid Class B driver's license with regular driving practice required. Willingness to obtain Class C1E driver's license for operating crime scene vehicles. Must possess strong psychological stability and physical resilience for demanding work conditions, including exposure to graphic scenes and prolonged work in challenging environments (e.g., extreme temperatures, difficult access). Willingness to undergo mandatory training modules and pass examinations at the Police Academy to achieve full qualification and EG 9a TV-L classification. Willingness to travel for training modules outside of Hannover.
