Job Summary

This role is for an Offshore Wind Commissioning Technician responsible for the operational management and safety of an offshore wind farm. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing high-voltage network switching states and power flows, executing and supervising switching operations, and creating/reviewing switching protocols. The successful candidate will also coordinate tasks during emergencies, issue work permits, and act as a key contact for contractor teams and the transmission system operator's control center. This position requires a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly with high-voltage systems and relevant DIN VDE standards, offering an opportunity to contribute to sustainable energy solutions with a focus on operational excellence and safety in a dynamic offshore environment.

Required Skills

Education

Qualified Electrician (Elektrofachkraft) with proof of qualification according to DIN VDE 1000-10, Technical qualification as a Plant Manager according to DIN VDE 0105-100, Proof of qualification for switching authorization up to 110kV or annual refresher training valid for >9 months at start

Experience

  • Proven experience in commissioning energy technology systems
  • Proven experience as a plant manager in the high-voltage sector
