The City of Soest is seeking a dedicated Recycling and Waste Management Specialist to oversee and manage operations at their recycling center. This role involves independently coordinating daily operations, assisting citizens with waste and recyclable drop-offs, and ensuring proper sorting and disposal of various materials, including hazardous waste according to TRGS 520. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order, providing customer consultation on waste separation, and meticulously documenting all processes. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Specialist in Recycling and Waste Management, or comparable qualification (e.g., Disposal and Waste Management Specialist, Chemical Operator, Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical Engineer)
Experience
- Professional experience in waste and recyclable material handling, ideally at a recycling center or in the waste disposal industry
- Experience in handling hazardous waste according to TRGS 520
