Job Summary

This role involves developing and optimizing Supercritical Fluid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (SFC-MS) methods to analyze highly polar substances in various environmental media. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting extensive measurement data to support substance evaluation, identifying previously unknown highly polar trace substances, and preparing detailed reports and technical articles. The position requires a strong background in analytical chemistry, particularly in organic trace substance analysis, and practical experience with coupling separation techniques to mass spectrometry. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chemist to contribute to environmental protection by expanding the analytical capabilities for persistent and mobile contaminants, ensuring the long-term safety of water resources in Bavaria.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl. Univ. / Master) in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in organic analysis is desirable
  • Practical experience with coupling separation techniques (e.g., LC, GC, or SFC) with mass spectrometry
