Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher position offers a unique opportunity to join an interdisciplinary team at the University of Tübingen's Division of Translational Oncology. The role focuses on advancing the understanding of molecular mechanisms in hematopoiesis, granulopoiesis, and leukemia development, with a strong emphasis on innovative gene therapy approaches for hematopoietic stem cell disorders. The successful candidate will design and conduct in vitro and in vivo experiments using gene-edited hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells, optimize gene editing protocols for therapeutic use, and evaluate the safety and efficacy of gene therapies in preclinical models. A key aspect of the role involves actively participating in the development of GMP-compatible protocols for clinical translation and assisting with regulatory documentation for first-in-human trials. This position is ideal for a highly motivated individual passionate about contributing to high-impact projects aimed at bringing gene editing to clinical application for severe congenital neutropenia and other pre-leukemia syndromes.
