PhD Student (Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Medicine) | Biologe (m/w/d)
Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main
Job Summary
This role is for a PhD student to join the Institute for Cardiovascular Physiology at Goethe University, focusing on nuclear epigenetic regulation by lipids and non-coding RNAs within the cardiovascular system. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research, investigating how chromatin organization and non-coding RNAs influence gene expression and vascular cell phenotypes, particularly in endothelial cells during angiogenesis and stress. Day-to-day tasks involve utilizing advanced cell culture systems (including IPSC, 2D/3D culture), CRISPR/Cas9 for gene expression modulation, and Next-Generation Sequencing techniques (RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq). This position offers a dynamic, international team environment, excellent facilities, and structured doctoral training, fostering individual scientific career development through exposure to modern techniques and bioinformatics.
