PR and Communication Specialist | Fachkraft PR & Kommunikation (m/w/d)

Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) at ETH Zurich as a PR and Communication Specialist, supporting the team during a maternity leave period (February to December 2026) with a part-time workload (40-60%). You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the department's websites using Adobe AEM, drafting concise editorial contributions regarding awards and honors, and creating engaging social media content (LinkedIn, Instagram) utilizing Canva. A key function of this role is the ability to translate complex scientific content into clear, target-group-specific language for public consumption. Candidates should possess prior experience in PR and communication, ideally within a scientific or academic setting, and must demonstrate very strong proficiency in both written and spoken German and English. This position offers a dynamic environment at the intersection of research and the public, providing valuable insights into science communication within a modern research setting.
