Job Summary

As a Project Manager for Technical Infrastructure Equipment, you will be responsible for the quality-assured planning and realization of technical equipment systems, including overhead lines, control and safety technology (LST/ETCS), 50 Hz systems, and electrical power systems (EEA), within the large-scale Ulm-Augsburg railway project. This role involves independently managing project stakeholders, ensuring adherence to schedules, costs, and quality. You will lead project engineers, coordinate with engineering firms, municipalities, and authorities, and manage public-law approvals. A key aspect is active risk and opportunity management, along with precise cost estimation and coordination across various interfaces to ensure optimal collaboration with public bodies. This is a crucial role in one of Southern Germany's largest infrastructure projects, utilizing BIM methods to accelerate long-distance traffic and create new capacities in regional rail transport.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university or technical college degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in planning and/or realizing infrastructure projects
  • Specific experience in control and safety technology, telecommunications, electrical engineering, or overhead line systems
  • Experience with project management methods, systems, KPIs, and processes
  • Experience in economic thinking and action, negotiation, and stakeholder management
  • Experience with public-law approvals and building submissions (VV-Bau, VVBau STE, EIGV)
  • Experience in preparing calculations, plausibilizing cost estimates, and active risk/opportunity management
  • Experience in coordinating with colleagues and public authorities
  • Technical leadership experience is advantageous but not mandatory
