Job Summary
This role involves hands-on field testing and analysis of construction materials for an independent testing institute specializing in asphalt, bitumen, aggregates, and soils. The successful candidate will be responsible for sampling asphalt cores, unbound layers, and soil samples for quality control, conducting field tests, and performing on-site construction supervision for civil engineering and road construction projects. Key responsibilities also include evaluating and documenting test results and samples, with occasional support in the asphalt and soil laboratory. This position is ideal for someone with a background in construction materials testing or technical/manual skills, who enjoys working outdoors in varying weather conditions and possesses a reliable, responsible, and communicative approach. The role offers a diverse range of tasks, comprehensive training, and a supportive team environment.

Education
Completed vocational training as a Construction Materials Tester or relevant technical/manual vocational background.
Experience
- Completed vocational training as a Construction Materials Tester
- Professional experience in a technical or manual field (for career changers)
- Experience with independent, responsible, and reliable work methods
- Experience with year-round physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Experience interacting with customers in a friendly and communicative manner

- Driving license Class BE / CE is desirable. Willingness for occasional night and weekend work, and project-related assembly times. Primary work area within approx. 100 km radius of Herne.
