Job Summary

This role involves leading and managing a department of approximately 12 employees responsible for the verification and audit of grant applications and expenditures within the LWL-Dezernat Jugend und Schule. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing and refining audit procedures in line with administrative regulations, contributing to the creation of new funding guidelines, and engaging with other institutions. Key responsibilities include making decisions on fundamental issues, handling complex individual cases, conducting special audits (especially in cases of insolvency or suspected fraudulent activity), and providing expert advice to grant recipients. This position requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to navigate complex administrative and legal frameworks, ensuring effective and compliant grant management.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree for general administrative service (e.g., Diplom-Verwaltungswirt, Bachelor of Laws from HSPV), OR successfully passed promotion examination for administrative service, OR successful completion of the Verwaltungsfachwirt (VL II) course, OR another relevant university degree (e.g., first state examination in law, Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration or Business Administration) with relevance to the described tasks.

Experience
