Job Summary

This doctoral position at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) involves conducting and optimizing ex situ phytoremediation experiments on contaminated soils. The successful candidate will establish small-scale experiments, perform and evaluate column, pot, and bioremediation experiments using model and hyperaccumulator plants. Key responsibilities include qualitative and quantitative plant analysis using microscopic and spectroscopic methods, combined with determining radionuclide speciation and distribution within plants. The role also requires extensive literature research, writing scientific publications, and presenting research findings.
