Job Summary

The Junior Data Scientist will join the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (BAZG) in Bern, working 60-80%, with flexible home office options. This role is pivotal in advancing the organization's digital transformation by applying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to critical areas like risk analysis and operational processes. Day-to-day tasks include developing and operationalizing ML models, creating ML prototypes as web applications in collaboration with Data Engineers, and conducting complex ad-hoc analyses and visualizations. You will also support specialist users in defining requirements and improving data quality.
