Job Summary
Join the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (UDSC) in Bern as a Junior Data Scientist, contributing significantly to the agency's digital transformation via the DaziT program. You will be instrumental in shaping the Analytics sector by building foundational structures and implementing them operationally. Day-to-day tasks involve creating and deploying machine learning models to enhance risk analysis and internal processes. You will develop ML prototypes as web applications and collaborate closely with data engineers to ensure they are fully operational. Furthermore, you will support specialized users in requirement elicitation, perform complex ad-hoc analyses and visualizations, and help improve overall data quality. This role requires a university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science or Mathematics) and foundational expertise in ML, statistics, and Python development, offering an exciting path combining software development and artificial intelligence within a critical governmental security context.
