Job Summary
The City Administration of Düren is seeking a Hydraulic or Environmental Engineer to join their team. This role primarily involves the planning, execution, and construction management of water and open space planning maintenance, new construction, and renovation projects across all phases of the HOAI (Fee Schedule for Architects and Engineers). You will be instrumental in implementing the funding project for the renovation and ecological upgrading of the Gut Weyern pond facilities, managing maintenance and new projects for water bodies, ditches, and pond systems, and overseeing open space planning and construction in public parks and green areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be service-oriented, and enjoy cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring the well-being and safety of the city's 95,000 residents.
Required Skills
Education
Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Hydraulic Engineering or Urban Water Management, or Environmental Engineering. Candidates with a related degree may be considered if they can demonstrate relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Experience in water and open space planning (desirable, but not mandatory for entry-level candidates)
- Professional experience in civil engineering with a focus on hydraulic engineering or urban water management (for related degree holders)
