Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity for a scientist with a strong background in nucleic acid research to shape the strategic direction and operations of NUCLEATE, a groundbreaking Cluster of Excellence. The successful candidate will lead the Cluster Coordination Office, overseeing daily operations, managing personnel, and ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across partner institutions (LMU, TUM, JMU). Day-to-day tasks involve supporting strategic development, coordinating financial operations, preparing scientific reports, and organizing events. This position is ideal for a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, a strategic mindset, and a passion for fostering interdisciplinary research and supporting early-career scientists within a globally visible research environment.
Required Skills
Education
Doctoral degree (PhD) in life sciences, chemistry, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field relevant to nucleic acid research
Experience
- International and postdoctoral research experience (highly desirable)
- Experience in the coordination or management of research projects, particularly in interdisciplinary or collaborative settings
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, deadline-driven tasks
