Job Summary

The Hessian Ministry for Economy, Energy, Transport, Housing and Rural Areas is seeking a dedicated Specialist for Department II 6, focusing on the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) in Hesse. This temporary, three-year position involves coordinating the ERDF Monitoring Committee and collaborating with external stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in steering and implementing the ERDF program, ensuring its effectiveness and proper administration. Responsibilities also include evaluating the program, responding to external inquiries, analyzing EU and federal legal documents, and representing ERDF Hesse in various committees. This role offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to regional development within a central government ministry, with a focus on European structural policy.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree, Magister, University Diploma in Economics or Administrative Sciences, or a fully qualified lawyer (2nd State Examination).

Experience

  • Professional experience in EU structural fund promotion (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in project management (advantageous)
  • Professional experience in public administration (desirable)

  • This is a temporary position for three years. Candidates should be highly motivated, reliable, responsible, and able to work independently. Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks is required. The position is open to civil servants of the higher service or comparable tariff employees for rotation/secondment.
