Job Summary

This strategic leadership role involves overseeing the complete accounting function for an attractive international non-profit organization operating across Switzerland and France. The Head of Accounting is responsible for managing general and auxiliary ledger activities, coordinating complex monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and producing consolidated financial statements compliant with both Swiss (CO) and French (PCG) accounting standards. A key focus includes supervising tax declarations (VAT, corporate taxes) and ensuring robust internal controls and governance practices, including coordinating external audits. The successful applicant will lead and mentor a structured accounting team, drive performance culture, and actively contribute to digital transformation and continuous process improvement initiatives, collaborating closely with FP&A teams. Candidates must possess a Master's degree or CPA equivalent, coupled with extensive experience in dual-jurisdiction accounting and proven leadership capabilities.

Education

Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, or Certified Public Accountant (Expert-Comptable) qualification.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in accounting
  • At least 5 years of experience in team management and leadership
  • Confirmed experience in group consolidation across multiple entities
  • Solid understanding of compliance and internal control frameworks
