Job Summary
The City of Cologne Theatres are seeking a dedicated Video Technician for Schauspiel Köln, starting November 1, 2025. This role involves independently managing video operations for rehearsals, performances, and guest appearances, ensuring artistic requirements are met through meticulous planning and technical setup of video equipment. You will operate video playback systems, live cameras, and display technology, including projectors and LED walls, utilizing specific industry tools. The position also requires preparing and executing national and international guest performances, alongside developing and maintaining video, projection, and network technology. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Germany's leading theatres, working with renowned stage designers and video artists in a dynamic and artistically demanding environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in media technology or comparable training in event technology
Experience
- Practical experience in media technology or event technology
- Experience with complex fiber optic video and network transmission systems

- Driver's license Class B; Willingness to work theatre-specific hours; Gender competence and diversity conviction
