Job Summary
The University of Erfurt is seeking a dedicated Research Assistant to join its Faculty of Economics, Law and Social Sciences. This role offers a unique opportunity for scientific qualification through a doctoral program under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sebastian Rüth. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the professorship's research projects, present findings at international conferences, and be responsible for organizing and conducting teaching activities (3 hours per week). Additionally, the position involves participation in administrative tasks of the professorship. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Diplom/M.A./M.Sc.) in Economics, Finance, Business Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines.
Experience
- Professional experience with statistical software (e.g., Matlab, Stata, Python, R)
- Experience in presenting research results at international conferences (if available)
- Experience in organizing and conducting teaching activities (if available)

- The position is initially limited to up to 4 years, subject to legal and personal requirements. Applicants must meet the requirements of the German Fixed-Term Employment Contracts in Academia Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz) and § 91 Abs. 5 Thüringer Hochschulgesetz. For foreign university degrees, a certificate evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) is required.
