Job Summary
This role is for a (Junior) Laboratory Technician specializing in Microbiology within the pharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological purity testing of various pharmaceutical products, including raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods, as well as microbiological potency determination of antibiotics and finished drugs. Key responsibilities also include preparing and qualifying culture media, qualifying laboratory equipment, and contributing to the validation and transfer of microbiological methods. Adherence to GMP-compliant documentation and general laboratory tasks are essential. The position is ideal for individuals with a background in biology laboratory work, seeking to develop their skills in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a Biology Laboratory Technician (Biologielaborant:in), BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in microbiological purity testing of raw materials and pharmaceuticals (desirable)
- Professional experience in microbiological potency determination of antibiotics and germ identification (ideal)
- Experience in a GMP-regulated environment
