Job Summary

As a Materials Engineer at Siemens Energy, you will develop and implement innovative material concepts for new builds and service applications. Your day-to-day involves evaluating failure reports and deviation reports from manufacturing segments and suppliers regarding design and material aspects, creating and revising material and process specifications to ensure compliance with international industry standards, collaborating with component designers on material selection for electromagnetic and structural applications, and conducting damage analyses and root cause investigations. Key requirements include a university degree in materials engineering, at least 3 years of relevant professional experience, strong knowledge of industrial materials engineering (standards, manufacturing processes, quality aspects), and proficiency in handling unalloyed, low-alloy, and stainless steels, copper alloys, with desirable experience in large steel forgings and metal joining techniques.
