Head of Environmental Planning | Abteilungsleitung Umweltplanung (w/m/d)

Job Summary

Lead, steer, and coordinate the Environmental Planning department as the Head of Environmental Planning. This role involves direct and indirect responsibility for staff, strategic development of departmental processes, and ensuring consistent internal and external standards within budget and resource constraints. You will address environmental issues, draft statements for approval processes, manage the tendering, awarding, coordination, and formal acceptance of external engineering and consulting services, as well as construction and supply services. Additionally, you will manage compensation areas, conduct control checks, and establish agreements. The position requires a university degree in Environmental Planning or a comparable field, several years of professional experience in environmental and landscape planning, and strong legal/technical knowledge in this area. A driver's license and willingness to travel are also necessary.
