Job Summary
The ATLANTIC Hotel Heidelberg, a new passive house standard hotel, is seeking a full-time Building Services Technician to join its technical team. This role involves ensuring the optimal and safe operation of all technical facilities within the hotel. Responsibilities include performing repairs and maintenance, monitoring external contractors, conducting daily inspections, and managing consumption data. The ideal candidate will have a completed vocational training in a relevant trade (electrics, building services, plumbing, heating, painting, HVAC, or MSR), a strong technical understanding, and ideally, prior experience in the hotel industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in Germany's first passive house hotel, with a collaborative team and a commitment to employee development.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Plumbing, Heating, Painting Trade, HVAC, or MSR. All-round handyman skills are desirable.
Experience
- Professional experience in a similar position, ideally within the hotel industry
- Experience in performing repairs and maintenance based on defect lists
- Experience in monitoring external and maintenance companies
- Experience in conducting daily rounds for observation and data recording
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work shifts, including early and late shifts, on all days of the week. Willingness to perform on-call duties. Valid work permit for Germany (implied).
