Job Summary
Join FERCHAU as a Data Engineer to connect people and technology, finding the perfect match for clients by sourcing expert talent. In this role, you will develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines within Azure or AWS cloud environments, optimizing data processing with tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks. You'll implement data validation, build robust Data Contracts, and design the Medallion architecture. Integration of external systems via REST APIs and SQL interfaces, along with creating semantic data models using Power BI or Analysis Services, are key responsibilities. You'll collaborate with BI Consultants and developers to deliver consistent data products. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in designing ETL/ELT processes in cloud platforms like Azure or AWS
- Experience with tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, dbt, Power BI
- Experience in building scalable data architectures following the Medallion principle
- Familiarity with API connections and interface management
- Know-how in defining and controlling stable Data Contracts
- Ability to build semantic models for analytical purposes
- Experience in interdisciplinary teamwork within Business Intelligence
