Job Summary

This role involves supporting investigations through targeted internet and open-source research, focusing on crime prevention and offender identification within the Kiel Police Directorate. You will conduct online searches across various platforms and social networks, identify IP addresses, secure sources, and analyze complex data structures. The position requires presenting findings clearly in written and oral formats, developing new research methods and tools, and optimizing work processes, potentially through automation. Collaboration with other agencies and participation in training are also key aspects. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, strong knowledge of internet services and protocols, web development basics, programming skills (PHP, Python, Perl), and web server administration experience. A valid driver's license and willingness for security checks are mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Internet Research or related fields.
  • Experience with various internet services and protocols (social networks, email, chat, P2P, blogs, forums, messengers, Deep Web, Darknet).
  • Experience in website creation and HTML.
  • Experience in web server administration.
