Job Summary

The Verbandsgemeinde Rhein-Selz is seeking a Finance Department Staff Member for the Treasury division, filling a temporary position due to maternity and potential parental leave. This part-time role (30 hours/week) involves managing payment transactions, open payment orders, cash reserves, daily closing procedures, liquidity management, processing bank statements, handling the cash register, and check processing. The ideal candidate will have completed vocational training as a public administration specialist or the first municipal administration course. Alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship combined with the willingness to complete the first municipal administration course within three years is acceptable. Strong organizational skills, independence, flexibility, resilience, and confident communication are valued.

Education

Completed vocational training as a Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte) or completion of the 1st Municipal Administration Course (1. Angestelltenlehrgang). Alternatively, a commercial apprenticeship with the commitment to complete the 1st Municipal Administration Course within three years.

Experience

  • Professional experience in financial administration or treasury functions.
  • Experience with payment transaction processing.
  • Experience in managing cash reserves and daily closing procedures.
  • Experience with bank statement processing and cash register operations.
