Job Summary

This role focuses on supporting the development, planning, and implementation of natural climate protection measures within large protected areas in Saxony-Anhalt. You will advise and guide conservation organizations and protected area administrations on creating and submitting funding applications under the National Climate Protection Action Program (ANK). Key responsibilities include collaborating with authorities and local stakeholders, assisting with communication and public relations, and supporting reporting, monitoring, and project documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a scientific university degree (Diplom or Master's) in a relevant field, strong German language skills, knowledge of natural climate protection and habitat restoration, and experience in project management and funding processes. This is a full-time, fixed-term position until June 30, 2028, based in Halle (Saale), offering a chance to contribute directly to vital environmental conservation efforts.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Diplom or Master's) in a natural science field (preferably Conservation and Landscape Planning, Forestry, Conservation and Biodiversity Management, Biology, Natural Resource Management).

Experience

  • Professional experience in project management
  • Experience in implementing projects with state, federal, or EU funding
  • Comprehensive knowledge of FFH habitat types and plant species
  • Knowledge of natural climate protection and restoration of target biotopes according to ANK
  • Knowledge of funding law
