Job Summary

Join Airbus Defence and Space as a Cloud Platform Engineer in Immenstaad am Bodensee, focusing on AI and Simulation. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines with a GitOps strategy. This role involves integrating security checks, deploying Zero Trust architectures, and managing secrets and identity access. You will also develop and operate monitoring/logging systems, implement testing strategies, and utilize Helm and MLOps principles. Collaboration with international development and security teams is key, with potential travel for air-gapped solutions. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence / Simulation, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT / Information Systems
  • Experience with Docker, Linux containers/containerization, and cloud technologies
  • Experience with Kubernetes (cluster management, Helm, RBAC, operator models)
  • Experience in monitoring & logging, Infrastructure as Code, Secret Management, and IAM solutions is desirable
  • Understanding of cloud platforms, microservices, and MLOps is advantageous
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps tools (GitLab, Jenkins), Linux systems, and shell scripting is desirable
  • Proficiency with Unix and Python
