Job Summary
The University City of Giessen is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in Road Construction for an indefinite, full-time position within the Civil Engineering Department. This role involves the entire lifecycle of road construction projects, including tendering, awarding contracts, construction supervision, and final accounting. You will also be responsible for site management of civil engineering projects and acting in the client's capacity, as well as contributing to the planning of road construction measures. The ideal candidate will have a completed degree in Civil Engineering (FH) or a Bachelor's/Master's in Civil Engineering with a focus on civil engineering/infrastructure planning or a comparable qualification. While professional experience in civil or road construction is desirable, it is not strictly mandatory. Proficiency in MS Office is required, and experience with tendering software is a plus. A driver's license class B is also necessary.
