Job Summary

CITYWATT GmbH is seeking a PLC Programmer to establish and manage their PLC programming function. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining PLC programs for systems from manufacturers like Siemens, Wago, and Phoenix Contact, including visualization and testing. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a unified system architecture, code standards, and documentation processes. The position also requires integrating and parameterizing remote control and energy storage system controllers, ensuring data communication between transformer substations and grid operators using protocols like IEC. A key aspect is acting as the interface between IT and electrical engineering, guiding projects from planning to commissioning and coordinating PLC integration with relevant departments. Strong technical skills in PLC systems, visualization tools, and a background in automation technology are essential, with knowledge in network and IT being advantageous for the secure networking and stable operation of control systems.
