Job Summary

We are seeking up to 13 motivated doctoral researchers to join the Research Training Group (RTG) “Template-Designed Organic Electronics - TIDE” starting April 2027. This collaborative program, funded by the DFG, involves the Universities of Cologne, Bonn, and Wuppertal, focusing on interdisciplinary research in Organic Electronics. Successful candidates will conduct cutting-edge research within one of 12 research groups, spanning organic synthesis, surface science, device physics, spectroscopy, and quantum chemical theory. The program offers advanced interdisciplinary training, a three-month international research stay, and a supportive, diverse working environment. Ideal candidates will have recently obtained or be close to obtaining an M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, or Material Sciences with excellent results, and possess a strong interest in Organic Electronics.

M.Sc. degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics, Material Sciences, or a similar field with excellent results.

Experience

  • Professional experience in organic electronics or related fields is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment is required.
