Job Summary
Join Wiener Energiespeicher GmbH, an innovative subsidiary of WIEN ENERGIE and WIENER STADTWERKE, as a Research Intern focused on energy infrastructure and GIS systems. You will support the technical product management team by updating and maintaining products, consolidating supplier documents, and contacting new suppliers for price quotes. A key part of your role will involve identifying and evaluating suitable locations for energy infrastructure projects using defined criteria, and maintaining data within the existing GIS tool. You will also contribute to process optimization, tool development (GIS & spreadsheets), and creating CAD layouts and project-specific key figures. This role is ideal for a student seeking practical experience in a dynamic energy storage company.
Required Skills
Education
Currently enrolled in a technical degree program (e.g., BOKU, FH, or TU) with a focus on energy, construction technology, spatial planning, or similar.
Experience
- Professional experience in GIS programs, with the ability to perform independent optimizations (e.g., in ArcGIS)
- Experience with AutoCAD and creating simple 2D drawings
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly in PowerPoint and Excel
- Independent and structured work approach
- Experience in identifying and evaluating land for energy infrastructure projects
