Join us in shaping the future of railway communication across Europe. As an FRMCS Architect, you will be instrumental in introducing the next-generation 5G-based FRMCS system for railways. Your day-to-day will involve developing and evaluating technical specifications, and overseeing field trials from planning to execution. You'll contribute your expertise to European standardization bodies, actively influencing future communication standards in the rail sector. Simultaneously, you will drive the implementation within DB InfraGO, ensuring concepts translate into functional field systems. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and significantly impact the evolution of railway telecommunications.
Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed university studies in Engineering (e.g., Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering) or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience in the conception, analysis, development, and/or operation of mobile communication systems, ideally in the area of 5G and Mission Critical Services.
- Experience with project management in complex tasks and processes.
- Experience in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including the European rail sector.
- Experience in implementing new technologies and driving long-term projects.
